10 minutes + 5 seconds per move (Fischer).

The Luc Winants Memorial will take place on 9 May 2026 at the Van der Valk Brussels Airport Hotel, in the immediate vicinity of Brussels Airport.
This chess tournament will bring together 200 players and is organised in tribute to the Belgian Grandmaster Luc Winants.

The event is organised by the Qb4 association, with the support of North Group and Bio Strategy, in collaboration with the AIDEF, the FEFB, Caïssa Woluwé, Royal Namur Échecs, the Watermael-Boitsfort Chess Club and the Royal Brussels Chess Circle (CREB), Agadmator Chess Channel, Lotus Chess, Blitzstream and Sarah Chess.

The title of Franocphonie Champion 2026 will be awarded to the highest-ranked french-speaking player in the final standings holding a FIDE ID from an AIDEF member country.

Registration is free for GMs, IMs, WGMs and WIMs.
